IHFS Engineers are experts in building science, space ventilation, process exhausts, and life safety code compliance. We cover a wide range of facilities including laboratory, medical treatment facility, vehicle maintenance, firing range and administration.
Services Provided:
Design Reviews: Technical reviews of facility mechanical and architectural plans to ensure that designs meet standards for egress, fire protection, and ventilation. We can ensure that designs follow recommended practices for good quality indoor air.
Virtual Consolations: IHFS Engineers provide focused solutions with technical information and recommendations to help field personnel with specific building system ventilation or process exhausts challenges. Engineers are available to discuss concerns throughout the DoD community via email, phone or Microsoft Teams consultations.
Onsite Field Assessments: IHFS Engineers travel throughout the world to provide direct support. IHFS Engineers can conduct comprehensive facility assessments for life safety and ventilation code compliance or investigate specific complex issues using an array of measurement and testing of equipment that cannot be accomplished virtually.
Technical Publications and Training: Our staff maintains a library of educational resources for common field challenges.
