Public health (PH) communication employs a science-based process to inform and shape decisions that enhance health. Involving a multidisciplinary area of research, theory, and practice, PH communication includes such fields as risk communication, health communication, and health marketing. Public health communication uses a wide range of methods to plan, design, execute, and evaluate communication programs and activities across print, digital, and social channels, based on the particular PH issue or threat.
