​Information regarding food safety and defense at military installations and across the Department of Defense (DOD). The food safety continuum begins with approved food manufacturing sources that are determined by the U.S. Army Veterinary Services and extends to retail food stores and food service establishments operated on military installations. Food safety is a shared function between the Army Veterinary Services and Preventive Medicine/Public Health personnel from each of the military components who provide support to the installations and field units during deployments.
