Water Discharge Permits

Last Updated: July 30, 2018

Any installation or facility that discharges wastewater directly to surface water must obtain a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit beforehand from the state. The Water Resources Program helps our clients acquire, write and comply with wastewater discharge permits. This involves a number of processes including:

  • Drafting permit reviews
  • Permit noncompliance assistance
  • Regulatory negotiations
  • Enforcement actions/Environmental suits

The Water Resources Program helps clients come up with a discharge permit that is adequate for the particular installation and in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.  Follow up assessments are also done to ensure that the installation is in compliance with the discharge permit created for it.
