The Water Resources Program is dedicated to the education of the public about the dangers of water contamination including:

  • Stickers and posters alerting people to the dangers of storm water runoff
  • Information about pesticides used in fertilizer
  • Alerting people to the dangers of oil and gasoline
  • Encouraging Best Management Practices(BMPs) for nonpoint source dischargers

The Water Resources Program is committed to encouraging public action and awareness of environmental and health risks resulting in damage to the major waters of the U.S.  The Water Resources Program believes that public involvement is critical in reducing environmental damage and health risks and that a knowledgeable public can help prevent the next environmental disaster before it happens.
