Volatile/ Semi-Volatile Section

This section analyzes occupational and environmental health samples for trace levels of a wide variety of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) using state-of-the-art Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) instrumentation. Sample matrices include drinking water, non-potable waters, soils, sediments, air, wipes, and hazardous waste.

Organic Pesticides Section

This section provides a comprehensive range of occupational and environmental health sample analyses in a variety of matrices including drinking water, non-potable waters, soils, sediments, air, biological wipes and hazardous waste using Gas Chromatographs (GC) equipped with compound selective detectors including Electron Capture Detectors (ECD),  Flame Photometric Detectors (FPD), Flame Ionization Detectors (FID), and Nitrogen Phosphorus Detectors (NPD). Samples are analyzed for a variety of organic pesticides (organochlorine, organophosphorus, triazine, etc.), herbicides (defoliants), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) explosives and disinfectant by-products.  Provide quick turn-around sample analysis using USEPA-approved procedures as well as in-house methods developed as part of the Deployment Surveillance Mission.
